About MOPPETS
The MOPPETS program is designed to nurture, teach, and allow social interaction with other young children while Moms get "grown-up" time!

A safe, caring environment is important for kids and their parents and the MOPPETS program strives to reflect that need.  We use a check in and out card system in which only the adult who signed the child in can take them out of the classroom.

The teachers and helpers are carefully selected and trained to offer every child a safe and enjoyable experience.  Classroom teachers also wear nametags for easy identification.

Each meeting will allow for play time, a story and craft, a snack, and other entertainments.  Children are divided into age groups: 0-12 months, 12-24 months, 2 year olds, 3 year olds, and 4s & 5s.  Classrooms are located down the hall from the MOPS meeting area.  If a child becomes overly distressed, a childcare worker will let you know.

The child/teacher ratio is as follows:
0 to 12-months: 3:1
12 to 24-months: 4.5:1
2 and 3-year olds: 5:1
4 and 5-year-olds: 7.5:1

The standard for preschool child/teacher ratio In New Mexico is 10:1.

This is a great opportunity for socialization, as well as learning in a structured environment, prepping them for pre-school or kindergarden.
