ABOUT MESILLA PARK MOPS GROUP
Our Beginning
Mesilla Park MOPS began in 2006, the first MOPS group in Las Cruces for about 12 years . TJ Diaz, the wife of Mesilla Park Community Church's Pastor, was in the original group and a helpful advocate in bringing the group to MPCC. Mrs. Diaz continues to serve the group in whatever capacity needed, from speaker, to MOPPETS Teacher, to Mentoring MOM--and always as an inspiration!
The group started with 5 very dedicated members, serving 27 moms, in multiple leadership positions to make the group, according to the NM Council Coordinator, one of the most successful first-year groups in the state. We have grown membership and leaders consistantly each year, with ## leaders and ## moms in 2009/2010.
Amazingly and unfortunately, every year we have had to cap our membership and put moms on waiting lists because of the limitation of the number of adorable kids we can safely fit in our MOPPETS classrooms.
Through God's amazing plan, and the dedication and heart our leaders have for Las Cruces moms, we have the pleasure of kicking-off our sister group, Grace Covenant MOPS, this year to reach and serve more! About half of our leaders and members have agreed to help support and serve the new group! Mesilla Park MOPS group looks forward with love and dedication to supporting both of the other MOPS groups in our community however we can!

If you take Main St. south, past University Ave., we're in the building with the red-metal roof right after the Stern intersection (Do not turn left on Stern or you will be on the freeway headed toward El Paso). Turn into the parking lot directly AFTER the intersection.
