The MOPS Steering Team
The Steering Team provides leadership and direction for the MOPS group and is made up of several leaders, each responsible for a unique area of the MOPS program. Recruiting a committed Steering Team is important to the success of our MOPS ministry.
Coordinator and Co-Coordinator/Assistant Coordinator: Leads the Steering Team & acts as a liaison between MOPS International & the Chartering Ministry.
Discussion Group Team Leader: Leads & coordinates a team of Discussion Group Leaders. May need to step in as a DGL. Also helps plan MNOs.
Discussion Group Leader: Leads small group of MOPS moms into discussion, sets up playdates for her table, & fills other needs. Helps plan MNOs.
MOPS Mentor Team Leader: Leads a small group of MOPS Mentors.
MOPS Mentor: A mature woman who mentors MOPS women by listening, encouraging, & offering godly perspectives. She often teaches or schedules guest speakers, & disciples the Steering Team.
Finance Leader: Manages the group’s finances & budget.
Hospitality Leader and Co-Leader/Assistant: Creates a welcoming atmosphere, organizes refreshments for meetings, plans special events, & assists with special needs.
Creative Activities Leader: Organizes, plans, & teaches activities that encourage creativity.
Care Team Leader: Coordinates the group’s ministry to MOPS moms going through difficult or busy times (illness, new birth, family problems).
MOPPETS Team Leader: Oversees the Moppet’s Ministry—recruits, trains & supports Moppets workers.
Fundraising Team Leader: Organizes & oversees fundraising events to continue MOPS program.
Publicity Leader: Promotes MOPS to the community & facilitates communication within the MOPS group through newsletters & other tools.
